Educational Programming
Laurier House National Historic Site
I currently work as a Visitor Centre Attendant at Laurier House National Historic Site for Parks Canada. One of my projects during the 2023 season was to read through and conduct a review of the existing educational programming we possessed in preparation for a Visitor Experience Renewal.
McDonald Institute Visitor Centre
For my internship in Algonquin’s Applied Museum Studies program, in 2018 I became the Museum Studies Intern at the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute. I created and developed a visitor centre containing educational programming space with content for ages 8+, two exhibits, and multimedia elements. I also prepared educational programming options for the launch of the visitor centre.
Ottawa Jewish Archives
As part of my Exhibition Development course in Algonquin’s Applied Museum Studies program in 2017 my team and I created an exhibition and educational programming for the Ottawa Jewish Archives, housed in the Soloway Jewish Community Centre, about Jewish store owners in the Byward Market from the 1930s to the 1950s. My colleague and I proposed the following programming to accompany the exhibit.
